Postcards to Jo and Bruce and

our friends at Pets in Need

Here are some photos of our new kittens, Boomer and Me, Too!

kittens relaxing

Settling in -- snug in the bathroom. Our senior cats were disgruntled at first, so the babies had their own room. Visiting hours were strictly supervised.

kittens just awakened

Just waking up ... these are very quiet kitties.
They never meowed at all, until after listening to Punkin's vocalizations. Now, they only meow faintly when something's wrong. Like when Boomer plays too rough with Me, Too.

Yum! We eat our first meal at home.

Me, Too started eating dry all by himself ...

Dave and Me, Too get ready to nap

Me, Too getting ready to snooze with Dave (who also thinks napping is a form of social interaction).

Punkin greeting Me, TooBumble: Leave my tail ALONE!
Punkin starts to relax and enjoy the babies. Bumble is curious and wants to be friendly, but she's still unsure. She doesn't like it when the kittens play with her beautiful, irresistible tail.
Punkin makes new friends

Cats have developed the nap as a way of socializing with the family. Punkin cuddles up with Boomer

First nap with Uncle Punking

Me, Too and Boomer snooze with Uncle Punkin.

Wow! I can see myself!

Empty toilet paper roll

These kittens like mirrors! My other cats have not liked mirrors. They usually go to great lengths to ignore that inexplicable image that doesn't really exist.

Me, Too and Boomer emptied the toilet paper roll. It was great fun! Wadded up TP makes a great nest, too!
